Becoming a Weekend Blogger

It seems that the time has come for me to be one of those weekend bloggers. You know, those people who only update their blogs on the weekends because their life is so jam packed with stuff during the week they're lucky to get in a shower before collapsing into an unmade bed. That's where I'm at friends. So, here's a little run down on what I've missed out on posting.

The Dayngrous Duo are in school and loving it. They're really excelling and can't wait to wake up in the morning to begin another adventurous day (me not so much). I had my first official Parent/Teacher night and they had their first field trip to a pumpkin patch.

Charlie has his first little crush on a girl who declared him her boyfriend and received his first kiss on the cheek. (At age 5!) This of course launched me into an age appropriate conversation with both of the kids about boyfriends/girlfriend, kissing, etc. and began the permanent ban on Hannah Montana and anything on TV other than pre-school programming.

The Dayngrous have their own friends and their own little social lives ( of which I am supposed to keep track) and have already started the party circuit.

For Halloween everyone dressed as doctors and on the way out the door to the annual Trunk or Treat I stumbled down the front steps and became their first official patient when the fall ripped off my big-toe nail. So much for cute shots of my pedicures for a while.

All work on the house is at a standstill, which is ok, since there's no real money coming in. I have plenty of photos on what I've done already to keep you amused for a while.

That leads us up to the now. I've still got my gig over at eMailOurMilitary.com but I've started another business and I'll share more about that at another time. It was a long time coming and everything has been going well though I'm working my ass off to keep the bills paid without taking any handouts from the government.

I'm still holding down the fort and working to keep the Dayngrous Duo as happy as they can be through all of the life changes. Thanksgiving and Christmas should be interesting at the least.

So, what's new with you?

Sometimes I think being just a weekend blogger would be a nice thing but I shudder to think what my Google Reader would look like if I only opened it once a week! Better to tackle it as often as I can as it's a beast that grows very, very quickly!

Sounds like you're doing a good job of keeping your head above water and that the DD are starting early in keeping you busy in the Mom Department!
